Electric vehicles (EV)powered by high-voltage batteries incorporate an associated on-board chargingsystem. This on-board charger (OBC) provides the means to re-charge the batteryfrom the AC mains either at home or from outlets to be increasingly found inprivate or public charging stations. These home charging points or wall boxes,as well as charging totems for public places all require specialist magneticsto enable them to charge the EV’s system.

This is along with anarray of transformers and inductors specifically designed for automotiveapplications. These are all built in their fully compliant IATF16949 certifiedfactory, utilising EEMPL’s optimised performance by the inclusion oftechnologies such as vacuum thermal compound encapsulation. Their in-house testlab covers all AEC-Q200 requirements.
